Hebron Prison Ministries brings the light of Christ into Uganda's prisons and communities — rehabilitating, equipping, and empowering young people to live lives of purpose and dignity.
"I was in prison, and you came to Me." — Matthew 25:36
"Rehabilitation and Transforming livelihood of young people" — Hebron Christian Church
Hebron Christian Church is a Non-Governmental Organization registered with the Government of Uganda, operating in Najjera, Kiira Municipality, Wakiso District.
We work closely with local leaders, government authorities, and religious leaders to reach the most vulnerable — offering ICT training, vocational skills, HIV testing services, counselling, life skills, and the transformative power of the Gospel.
Our prison ministry is at the heart of who we are — going behind bars to bring hope, healing, and a path forward to Uganda's incarcerated population and their families.
Through Christ-centred programs, vocational training, and community outreach, we restore dignity and purpose to Uganda's most vulnerable people.
Prisoners learn professional woodworking and carpentry skills — building furniture, crafts, and practical trades that lead to employment upon release.
Learn More →Professional sewing and tailoring training equips incarcerated men and women with marketable skills for self-employment and community reintegration.
Learn More →Hands-on construction training gives prisoners the skills to build homes and infrastructure — turning sentences into stepping stones for new careers.
Learn More →We support incarcerated mothers and their babies with health services, nutrition, counselling, and parenting skills — protecting the most innocent lives.
Learn More →Advanced vocational and life skills training ensures that every prisoner leaves equipped to rebuild their lives and contribute meaningfully to society.
Learn More →Our ICT center equips young people — including ex-prisoners and at-risk youth — with digital skills and marketable vocational competencies.
Learn More →Together, we can make a difference in the lives of prisoners, ex-prisoners, and their families across Uganda.
Get Involved TodayOur events provide prisoners with essential resources, encouragement, and a reminder they are not forgotten — creating community and belonging.
We strengthen family bonds and guide families coping with incarceration — protecting mothers, babies, and children with care and counselling.
Education transforms lives — our programs provide vital vocational skills for prisoners and ex-prisoners to succeed both inside and outside prison walls.
"Through Hebron's carpentry program, I learned a trade that gave me dignity. When I was released, I started my own furniture workshop. God used this foundation to restore my life completely."
"I gave birth inside prison. Hebron Christian Church was there for me and my baby — health care, counselling, and love. My child and I are thriving today because of their care."
"The tailoring skills I gained gave me independence I never had. I now own a small boutique and employ two others. Hebron Christian Church didn't just train me — they believed in me."
At Hebron Christian Church, we believe that dignity is non-negotiable — even behind prison walls, even in the most under-resourced schools. Lack of access to sanitary products forces girls to miss school and robs incarcerated women of basic dignity every month.
Through our Sanitary Pads Program, we distribute menstrual hygiene products, deliver health education, and advocate for sustainable, dignified solutions for women and girls in Uganda's prisons, schools, and vulnerable communities.
Supplying sanitary pads to girls in under-resourced schools to eliminate period poverty and school absenteeism.
Reaching incarcerated women with monthly sanitary supplies — restoring dignity inside Uganda's detention facilities.
Menstrual health awareness sessions empowering women and girls with knowledge about hygiene and reproductive health.
Teaching communities to make affordable, reusable sanitary pads for long-term, sustainable menstrual health solutions.
How woodworking programs at Uganda's prisons are transforming sentences into skill-sets, giving prisoners a trade and a second chance at life.
